Sunday School Programs for 2 yr-5th Grade
Sunday School Classes are located on the 3rd floor.
Classes meet at 10:00 AM
2yr-5yr old children gather in room 333 for music with Mr. Steve from 10:00 – 10:10.
2-3 Year old Class – The wee worshipers learn stories from the Old Testament in the fall and the New Testament in the winter and spring. The class engages the children with songs, stories, prayer and facilitated play. The lessons are from the Frolic Curriculum created for the youngest worshipers. The facilitators for this class are Brandy Dietzel and Blythe Baker.
4-5 Year Old Class- The Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten class walk in wonder with Godly Play. What is Godly Play? Children have an innate sense of the presence of God. The Godly Play approach helps them to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience though wonder and play. Storytellers are Margret Felger and Jackie Chuter.
1st and 2nd Grade Class- First and second grade children connect the worship service and Sunday School using the Whirl Lectionary Curriculum. Whirl provides the connection using key bible themes and stories. The guides are Katie Rallojay, Hayley and Chris Remund.
3rd-5th Grade Class- The third through fifth grade class continue their faith journey using the Spark Lectiontionary Curriculum. The Sunday school lessons connect kids with Bible stories heard in worship. Children engage with the Bible story with lessons packed with activities, interactive games, and creative crafts. Guides for this class are Linda Zander and Tim Fackler.
3rd –5th grades also participate in JAM!, Jesus and Me. This social-service group gathers once a month for activities and also an Advent retreat to Camp Chrysalis
