Confirmation Covenant
Confirmation Covenant
for families preparing for affirmation of baptism

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.

Ephesians 4:4-6

Confirmation Covenant

As you commit yourselves to these next three years of learning, service, and fellowship at St. Martin's, we ask you to enter into this covenant with one another: To live among God's faithful people together, To hear the word of God and share in the Lord's Supper together, To proclaim the good news of God in Christ to one another in word and deed, To serve each other, following the example of Jesus, and to strive for justice and peace together in all the earth. Furthermore, will you promise to be honest with one another in this journey, to learn and grow together openly, to accept doubt where it occurs, be compassionate when frustrations arise, read scripture and pray with one another as you seek the will of God, following the example of Jesus?
